ByteBug is a low-cost electronics kit I designed to introduce K-8 students to circuits and engineering. Each kit costs approximately $1.60 to produce and lets kids assemble a buzzing, light-up bug using LEDs and a mini vibration motor. I hand-soldered, labeled, shrink-wrapped the batteries, and packaged 100+ kits for distribution at outreach events.
The kit originated as an outreach tool for my FTC team (19458 Equilibrium.exe), where I designed it to replace paper circuit kits with something more engaging, a motorized bug kids could take home. It has since been used across multiple events reaching hundreds of students.
